To update your existing installation using the install_acs scripts: 1. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip archive: If you are using a shared location for multiple users, extract the contents of the zip archive over the top of any previous version. If this is for a single installation, extract the contents of the zip archive to any temporary location. 2. For Windows, Mac, or Linux, use the platform specific install_acs script to install the product or to apply the update. 3. When the installation completes, you may delete the contents from the temporary location. Note: If you are using a shared location for the extracted contents of the zip archive, AcsConfig.properties will be overlaid when you extract the contents. If you have previously used the /AdminConfig option on the install_acs scripts, you can use /AdminRestore to restore the settings that were saved the last time /AdminConfig was used. If you manually added entries to the AcsConfig.properties file after /AdminConfig was used, you will need to manually add those settings back in to AcsConfig.properties. To update your existing installation without using the install_acs scripts: If you have made custom configuration changes to the AcsConfig.properties file, save the file or rename it. If you have not changed this file, then you do not need to save or rename it. Copy the zip archive to the location of your current installation. Overlay the files in your existing installation by unpacking the zip archive using any zip utility of your choice. Answer 'yes' to any inquiry about overlaying existing files. If you saved a copy of a customized AcsConfig.properties file, restore your saved copy to the updated installation location. For additional information, refer to the QuickStartGuide and GettingStarted documents in the Documentation directory. Note: Some administrators may choose to install the updated zip archive in a new location. If you use this method, make sure you bring over any customizations you have in the AcsConfig.properties file. =============================================================================
