Release Notes
                         for
      Network Installation and Troubleshooting
                 Gold Collection 5.X

The contents of the Network Release Notes have been expanded 
and included on the CD as a Microsoft Word document to make 
it easier to read and access this information. It is 
important that you read the "Hardware and Network Guide" 
before installing your Gold Collection software.

NOTE: If you don't have Word installed on your computer, you 
can install Microsoft Word Viewer 97 from the CD and then 
use it to view and print the "Hardware and Network Guide." 
Even if you do have Word installed, you may still want to 
install Word Viewer to take advantage of its linking 
capabilities, which allow you to jump directly to desired 
information.

[1] Installing Word Viewer

1.  Close all open applications.
2.  Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive.
3.  Click the Start button and select Run.
4.  In the Open box, enter D:\TOOLS\WORDVW97.EXE (or enter 
    the appropriate drive letter in place of D:\) and then 
    click [OK].
5.  Click [Yes] to continue the installation.
6.  If all applications are closed, click [Continue].
7.  Accept the default installation folder, or click [Change 
    Folder] to install Word Viewer to a different folder and 
    then click [OK].
8.  Click [Accept] to agree to the terms of the license.
9.  Click the large installation button to start the 
    installation.
10. If Word is installed, a message displays that asks which 
    application to use as the default when opening Word 
    documents. Click [Open with Word] to continue opening 
    DOC files using Word. Click [Open with Viewer] to use 
    Word Viewer to open DOC files.
11. Click [OK].

[2] Using Word Viewer to view and print the "Hardware and 
    Network Guide"

1. Select Microsoft Word Viewer from the Programs menu.
2. From the Open window, locate D:\TOOLS\NETGUIDE.DOC and 
   then click [Open].
3. To view using linking capabilities, select Online Layout 
   from the View menu.
4. To print, select Print from the File menu. Be sure to 
   specify a page range if you want to print only a portion 
   of the file.

Word Viewer, printer and video driver issues, how to obtain 
the most current drivers, and how to receive technical 
support, use Word Viewer to read the Word Viewer README.DOC 
file located in the installation folder, e.g., \PROGRAM 
FILES\WORDVIEW.
