Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate

Checking Connectivity

In order to keep running your Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate applications, you must have a permanent license for the Pervasive database. To get a permanent license, your computer must have an internet connection to the Pervasive license server. The ports used for this connection cannot be blocked by a firewall.

Try these troubleshooting tips to check and fix any connectivity issues.

Internet connection

Test your connection by clicking this link to access the Sage website.

If the website does not open:

  • Check your internet cables to make sure they are plugged in.
  • If you use a wireless connection, make sure the router is turned on.

Firewall rules for ports and urls

Specific ports must be accessible for Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate to communicate with the Pervasive licensing service. If your network firewall prevents the use of ports and urls, set inbound/outbound rules to open specific ports or set up new rules to open up the following ports:

  • Port 3351/tcp for Btrieve.
  • Port 1583/tcp for ODBC.
  • Ports 137-139 for authentication (which uses named pipes) if the server is on Windows NT/2000 (Btrieve Win32 only).
  • Port 2441/tcp for authentication using IDS (Btrieve Win32 only).
  • Port 443 for Sage Pass.

Test access by pinging the following urls from the command line:

  • elspv.pervasive.com
  • bkpelspv.pervasive.com
  • https://licensing.staging.services.sage.com/lic/services/LicenceService
  • https://licensing.services.sage.com/lic/services/LicenceService

If all else fails . . .
